The Silver is one of the oldest breeds of fur rabbit. No other breed looks or feels quite the same, not in body type, fur, color, or even firmness of flesh. They are the nearest representation of what rabbits looked like at the dawn of their domestication in the early 1500’s.
Their main colors are black, brown and fawn with white and white-tipped hairs spread through the coat. Their weight is between 4 – 7 lbs. The Silver has a compact or ‘Renaissance’ body shape that’s rounded.
The Silver is a small rabbit that’s light and athletic. This natural athleticism is reflected in its personality making it an active animal that enjoys play and exploration. They should be given lots of opportunities to exercise outdoors.
