royal-palm-turkeyRoyal Palm is a breed of domestic turkey and is one of the only turkey breeds not bred for meat production. Instead, Royal Palm turkeys are considered ornamental due to their unique appearance. This breed is predominantly white with metallic black bands.

Royal Palm toms are typically only 16 – 22 pounds, with hens averaging 10 – 12 pounds; therefore they lack the size to be used commercially for meat. This breed is considered active and very thrifty. They are excellent foragers and good fliers.

Since this bird is used for ornamental purposes in shows or on small farms, they have not been bred for any specific weight or growth standards.

We always strongly encourage you to thoroughly check out each animal breeder you are interested in purchasing from before you make your final decision. With over 25,000 different breeders listed on this website, it is impossible for us to be able to vouch for every one! And while we do our best to ensure only the top farmers are listed here, it's always best to double check yourself.
