The Oberhasli is a Swiss dairy goat. This breed is of medium size, vigorous and alert in appearance. Its color is chamois. Bucks range in height from 30–34 inches, does between 28–32 inches, with weights of 100–150 pounds. While the does are a dependable source of milk, bucks and wethers are also useful as pack animals because of their strength and calm demeanor.

As an Oberhasli buck matures, his beard becomes more distinguished. The Oberhasli head is framed with low set, forward pointing ears that give it an expression of alert or ready for action. This breed characteristic is unique and sets them apart from the many other breeds sharing its European Alpine origins.
