Khaki Campbell Ducks originated in England and are known for being one of the best layers of all the domestic ducks with an average of 320 eggs a year. Adult ducks weigh between 3-5 pounds. The Khaki Campbell drake is mostly khaki colored with a darker head usually olive green.
Khaki Campbells are a very gentle, passive and friendly breed when raised by hand until maturity which takes about 7 months. They are a good breed for young families and children to raise. Campbell’s are hardy little ducks able to withstand cold, hot, humid, or arid climates. These ducks have proven to be amazingly adaptable. They like exploring for bugs and are really good at finding and eating slugs.
