himalayan-rabbitThe Himalayan is a small rabbit, usually weighing around 3-5½lbs. They have a slender, 'snaky' build, a long body, and long, slender legs. The head is long and slim, with short, tapering, upright ears.

The Himalayan rabbit is most known for its markings, which are similar to the Himalayan's cats. They have dark ears, front feet (socks), hind feet (boots), a dark tail, and a dark spot on the nose in an oval shape that runs beneath the jaw and well up the profile of the nose towards the eyes. The rest of the body is usually white.

Himalayans were one of the first breeds of rabbits, and their origin is unknown, but it is unlikely that they came from the Himalayas. They are popular house rabbits, being very calm, good-natured and friendly.

We always strongly encourage you to thoroughly check out each animal breeder you are interested in purchasing from before you make your final decision. With over 25,000 different breeders listed on this website, it is impossible for us to be able to vouch for every one! And while we do our best to ensure only the top farmers are listed here, it's always best to double check yourself.
