The Gypsy horse is a popular breed, noted for its plentiful leg feathering and common black and white (Piebald) color. Originating in British Isles, they are animals with powerful muscling, vigor and flaunt. The breed displays other colors as well like, pinto and skewbald.
Gypsy horses are usually between 13 -15.2 hands tall and have quiet and gentle tempers. They are full of stamina and can last all day at a trot pulling a loaded wagon full of a gypsy family. They have abundant hair having descended from Shire and Clydesdale horses. Their size is compact but they are sturdy, seeming like light draft horses.
Gypsy horses are extremely versatile, capable of being used as show horses, taken to traditional horse fairs, driving, dressage, and equestrian competitions.
