The Dutch rabbit is distinguished for its color pattern and its one of the top ten most popular breeds. Misleadingly, they were developed in England for meat but now are mostly used as pets and for show.
They are a small/medium rabbit breed, weighing no more than 6 lbs.
Dutch rabbits have a compact body with a rounded body, head and short ears. They have fly back fur that is short and glossy. They are white with six different color variations for their markings: black, blue, chocolate, gray, steel and tortoise.
They do well with commercial pellets and do not require large housing.
